Oh thanks so much. I used more than one red. I like to layer glazes, allowing to dry in between, to build the color. Some of the layers were yellow some were darker red. I have sped up version of me painting it on my IG : lisa_pope_art

Yes! Also, with watercolor if you mix Prussian Blue with Alizarin Crimson you get the most wonderful dark inky blue

I used to love purple. But during the past few years I’m loving indigo blues and cobalt blues

I’m so proud that it is my first time being accepted into the American Watercolor Society Exhibit. It’s being held at the Salmagundi Club in NYC until 4/25/25. This painting also sold in the exhibit.

My painting is displayed on a traffic signal in the city of Puyallup, WA (cabinet wrap project)

My painting “Perspective” was chosen for the traffic cabinet wrap project in Puyallup, WA. This 6”x6” watercolor sold in 2023. I painted this after being at my daughter’s soccer game. I looked up and had an interesting perspective looking up into the trees.
