it shows when people talk about DS9, the first things they'll bring up will be how great the Dominion War arc is or they'll bring up how fun the silly standalone eps like the Tribbles one or the baseball one are lol

Trek going full serialised with no standalone eps is bad, DS9 managed to make it work with long-running arcs that were broken up by plenty of great Problem of the Week episodes

DS9 really hit that sweet spot between serialisation and great standalone eps
