"The Beauty of Grey" by +Live+
The message is still just as poignant as ever.
[video and lyrics in the comments]
Beautiful new single from cellist Raphael Weinroth-Browne
with an amazingly produced video.
β... Iβve spent my life chasing these fleeting moments where the music seems to play itself and have attempted to capture this in my performance on Lifeblood.β
For this cover image, I fed the complete lyrics into Google Gemini and it took a pretty decent stab at it.
30.05.2025 15:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Falling, falling, falling, fall into me
I hear echoes of my speech
And I see shadows of my walk
I feel the past
I always look backwards
[II]
My heart is drifting through all shades of green
My head is thinking through meadows of the sea
Lonely as I am
Expanding the scene where I've never (ever) been
A promise at last to call back the past
To finish off with you - I'm finishing off with you
Sliding down
I listened to the sound of your airs
Weβre watching stone saints fall over
While the black crows will be taking to the sky
Falling, falling, falling, fall into me
I hear echoes of my speech
And I see shadows of my walk
I feel the past
I always look backwards
Falling, falling, falling, fall into me
I hear echoes of my speech
And I see shadows of my walk
I feel the past
I always look backwards
Fighting, floating
Tasting blood in my mouth
Ancient damp painting ruins
Feel the rising chill
Heroes For Ghosts
[I]
Fading falling
Slow winds breaking soundscapes
And waves of velvet sweeping
Into me
You moved all that was in my world
And showed me all the new colours
In my universe where storms run
The Gathering - Heroes For Ghosts
My heart is drifting through all shades of green
My head is thinking through meadows of the sea
Lonely as I am
A great atmospheric song, that builds slowly like wave, crashing down, then slowly retreating.

If it all comes out
We could never take it back
Where does that leave us then?
One more step, in the wrong direction
Until it all, all comes crashing down

Promise me this, sever the ties and rise up
Donβt resist, persist
Or youβll never grow to see the waking light

Now don't hang on
Nothin' lasts forever but the earth and sky
It slips away
And all your money won't another minute buy

Chris Cornell (7/20/1964 - 5/18/2017) RIP
You say that midnight opens its arms to me
Leaving you alone, and then I fly so far away
Until the light blurs my vision and I have nowhere to roam
I only love you when I'm down
Kevin Gilbert (11/20/1966 - 5/18/1996) RIP
Well something snaps and then you learn
Chasing words is no concern
Then one by one they die and turn
To mild regret and hopeless yearn
Blank page
Numbly staring up at me
Escaping by apology
From a blank page left unsigned
New song from Raphael Weinroth-Browne - Speed of Light, a visceral reworking of J.S. Bachβs Prelude to the G Major Cello Suite.

A few years after it was posted on YouTube, the composer of the original found it and commented on it:

This version sure does have the same level of 'not so subtle' madness and playfulness I had when I composed the theme. Good one!
This is an oldie, but a goodie... The Angry Birds theme covered by Pomplamoose.

Just like back in 84
There are eyes on every wall
It might be time to learn to crawl
When privacy becomes a product to be traded for another
They know everything about you

A little 5/4 trivia:
The theme music for the long-running TV series Mission: Impossible is a distinctive tune written in the uncommon 5/4 time signature. Not only does the 5/4 time signature make the composition unique, the meter (dash dash, dot dot) is Morse Code for the letters M and I.

27.04.2025 18:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'd agree (at this point so far). For code assist or gening up something small, it is pretty interesting. I've only dipped into it a little bit.
This guy has an interesting workflow. Not sure I could or would want to work like this though.
