I'm just guessing the date as most annuals were released late Autumn the previous year? The cover and contents seem to be just recycling 7 US strips for a UK audience as US comics wouldn't have been sold in the UK?
Or are some new? I'll check back as I go.

A boy creates a time machine. And the writer has been watching An Unearthly Child...

The usual shite on the comics front. Though again I like the commitment to doing just one 32 page strip and not five appalling 6 page strips.

With no access to home video and few repeats I suspect the details on the cards offered another window into the imagination at the heart of the TV series. As stories only live in folk's head anyway did these fake cards actually have a life of their own in fandom?

Bubbles Inc bring out a 50 collectors card set but had no access to the storylines/characters it seems? So they made up their own stories and characters on the card set using the imagery from Season 1.
With no VHS back in the day would fans have even noticed?

Superb visual and aural qualities. Has a delightful depiction of time travel. However as drama it's overwrought gibberish. What saves it is staying heavy on horror, ie TOL's strength, so idiotic sci-fi writing doesn't murder it.

Such a DPRK.

They tell me #TwilightZone was a massive step up in genre TV but I resisted the idea.
I gave three series of #OneStepBeyond an average of 2/5,
This first series of TOL 2.5/5,
#TalesOfTomorrow 2/5.

So Twilight Zone doesn't even have to be even good to be that step up.

This ep had everything I hate abut this show:

Good premise that never gets explored,
Incredibly stupid tech that undermines the ep,
A US General turning soft for no reason,
White men in suits spreading ignorance.
Absurd takeaway message.

Honestly #Suspense TV ep #3.11 "Nightmare at Ground Zero" (07-Nov-50) provides a scarier look at a nuclear power. They even do the same driving scene but on bargain bin live TV. Again TOL is a 30 minute show and has zero business masquerading as a 60 minute show.

More 1940s sci-fi somewhy being put on screen in 1964. Can't fault production values again but as sci-fi this was worthless gash. As horror also poor.
Leonard Nimoy and Signe Hasso were wasted in this drek.

The first 25 mins are strong when the mystery is being explored and the end is too but once the sci-fi hits in between the show turns to crud.
Terry Nations genuinely stole the setup for #DoctorWho "The Android Invasion" parts 1-3.

Run: 2GB Sydney.

A decent ep about a bank heist. It kind of grows arms and legs at times. The duo inside the vault are far more credible than the shenanigans outside with the other two baloobas.
