When I lived in the U.S., even with insurance, I couldn't afford those meds for neuropathy. The cost was something like $6,400 per month. I used to sneak them back in whenever I travelled from Europe and ration them so I didn't run out.

Yes, meds come to every life sooner or later. If the system has issues, people suffer.

I'm lucky. Here, a household never pays more than €80 a month for prescribed meds, regardless of insurance. Without it, I'd be paying €472 a month just to manage neuropathy. That's just one of my meds.
