🌐 Now 15 young learners from across the country are gaining industry-ready digital design skills supported by real-time sign language interpretation, accessible learning materials, and inclusive teaching methods.

🇧🇩 With support from the Internet Society Foundation’s SCILLS Program, the Access Bangladesh Foundation launched Bangladesh’s first fully accessible online Graphic Design course for youth with hearing and speech disabilities.

👉 Today, as we observe the International Day of Persons with Disabilities under the theme “Fostering disability-inclusive societies for advancing social progress,” we celebrate a powerful milestone in inclusive digital learning.

🌍 Together, this partnership is proving what’s possible when innovation meets community-driven impact: a scalable, self-sustaining model for true digital inclusion in last-mile communities.

👉 Media Matters for Women anchors the community side—leading outreach, delivering training, ensuring safeguarding, and providing ongoing mentorship so that the Digitruck reaches the most marginalized.

👉 Close the Gap Kenya provides the technical backbone—refurbishing the container, installing laptops and solar systems, and ensuring the Digitruck meets international standards.

The Digitruck Salone Project, implemented by Media Matters for Women (MMW) in partnership with Close the Gap Kenya and funded by the Internet Society Foundation’s BOLT Grant Program, is bringing digital skills directly to girls and women in the most remote, high-poverty villages.

👉 By investing in local capacity building, with this training, BOSCO Uganda transformed participants from passive maintainers into proactive guardians of connectivity, ensuring reliable Internet access for education, communication, and emergency response in Northern Uganda.

🌐 With the support of the Internet Society Foundation’s Resiliency grant program, a crucial technical training program was carried out, equipping the community. This will enable them to not only repair infrastructure but also anticipate, withstand, and recover from disruptions more effectively.
