I've had this same conversation. Even challenged them to show me what a 13 year olds curriculum would look like for 6 weeks. Funny how nothing ever shows up.

You could change the curriculam to include more media literacy and if you get it correct it might make a difference in 20 or so years. Of course by then the landscape will look very different. And what are you going to do about the 80% of the population who have left school?
