another stopgap, but more automated, version of this could be to use a labeler!

a good case study is @bookmarks.bluecanary.dev, which allows users to use the app's built-in reporting functionality to mark posts and have them show up in a custom feed

yep! from what I can see, you'll need the clarity kit to make custom plugins (comes w/ the developer edition)

that would be stellar! as it stands, I think the only thing really holding it back from being a fully-fledged replacement for Discover is the frequency that the feed refreshes

it's great for a quick look on a busy day, but not quite there yet for prolonged surfing

sad to see the Glyph lights from the older phones go, but it was bound to happen sooner or later

the unpredictability IS the point, most companies get one signature feature and ride it into the ground

new Nothing phone is the clearest sign yet that the company's made it, you either hate it or you love it

the design is sparking the same type of discourse that you see around things like liquid glass and losing the headphone jack

between this, the new handheld, and the AMD partnership - very possible the next Xbox will just be a windows PC with a gaming-focused interface

would be great for microsoft (and very funny) if steam became the trojan horse for PlayStation titles

would also keep an eye out on labeler projects, such as @no-pol-labeler.bsky.social by @hailey.at, as they take full advantage of the protocol

not a perfect solution, but this moderation list pretty good at curbing the overall level of politics on the feeds

also almost exclusively using the Following feed now over Discover

can you please explain this go syntax to me?

Uncaffeinated β€’ 6 yr. ago
It doesn't. That's just a "template" file, which I use search and replace in order to generate the three monomorphized go files.
If you look closely, those aren't angle brackets, they're characters from the Canadian Aboriginal Syllabics block, which are allowed in Go identifiers. From Go's perspective, that's just one long identifier.

true! but then again; sites like reddit exist and still print money from ads despite being increasingly negative

if I had to guess, the controversy drives engagement, and the engagement drives ad revenue

should work! e-ink isn't that stellar for real-time analytics though; a 5-min refresh is probably the closest you'll get with the TRMNL

also, apparently they're working on a bigger model coming this summer, so that might be worth holding out for!

for your use case though, a couple of things to consider:

the ~7-inch screen could be a bit cramped for your data

graphs might also be difficult, templating engine probably doesn't support them natively, so you might have to render as an image, host, then pass the url to the plugin

03.06.2025 02:03 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

that's brutal haha

so far so good! they've done a great job with making plugins really easy to build

e-ink does wonders for battery efficiency too; you can pretty much just slap it anywhere, without having to worry about wiring or plugging it in

hard not to be skeptical! the UX is really nice in typical TBC fashion, but there's no real differentiator to make it a MUST use over other browsers or just a plain chatbot

@zen-browser.app is and will be the best replacement for Arc users for a while

as it stands right now, it mostly just seems to be a regular browser that saves you the hassle of copy-pasting text or links into LLMs, something Google *just* announced for Chrome at IO
