Emerging from hibernation to echo this. My dad has beat cancer twice, had two knee reconstructions, heart surgery, and a lot more. He said shingles was hands-down the worst thing he's ever experienced.
As soon as he said that, I got vaccinated. It wasn't subsidised. It cost a lot. I did not care.
