Buggy is all anxieties and rationalisations, he’s all fragmentation and compartmentalism, he’s very self doubt and perfectionism to the point of inaction. Yet he flickers again, and he tends to this candlelight with such care I have 0 doubt his fire will grow blazing the sky.

It’s inspiring to see someone simmering endlessly with great ambition, but it’s forever profound to witness someone disillusioned, heartbroken, hopeless and beaten down out of dreaming as they find their spark again. Passion eats one alive, yes. But try growing out what’s already been bitten off.

With how much I love Luffy, I can never resonate with his drive towards a dream. Pathetically, I couldn’t but get jealous of it and, by association, of all people who do relate to his indistinguishable fire.

But that is also a reason why I hold Buggy so dearly

still not normal about CrocoBug failing miserably at treating their baggage through each other yet being so addicted to one another it makes them sick to even consider giving up
