I will never forget the story of “Cara”, a 16 year old who was bullied into removing her mask at school.

Staff and kids bullied her.

Her mom was immunocompromised and undergoing chemo, and Cara was trying to protect her.

She caught Covid & her Mom died.

We must be better than this.

That entire speech from Trump was horrifying. It’s incitement to violence against the left. It was Nazi rhetoric. It was authoritarian fascism. He’s not going to give up power. Leftists are going to end up in concentration camps. He’s moving the convenient scapegoat from immigrants to everyone left.

Sex work is a women's rights issue, a queer and trans issue, a labor rights issue, a civil rights issue, a disability issue, an immigration issue, the list goes on. All of this is connected, but none of these other movements mention us. Ever.

People I know are dealing with strange and debilitating illnesses, that just so happened to be rare before COVID. But people aren't putting this together and they aren't doing anything to protect themselves or each other. It's like being in some horror flick where everyone has gone mad but you.

They are offsetting the cost of lower taxes for billionaires by slashing programs for the most needy.

So much for Christian charity toward the poor.

Not only is disability tax very real - the system is designed to keep us in poverty.

Everything costs more, we have a higher number of emergency expenses, and we’re prohibited from earning extra money (and in some cases we can’t even inherit or fundraise).
