You know what's a really complex, unique and beautiful piece from a song?

The oboe/clarinet melody line from The Wombles.

It's bluesy chromatics and pedal points. It ambles lazily around, never really doing much, perfectly captures the spirit of the characters in the animated show. Just brilliant.

Most thrilling occasion in my life (I met a womble)

I got these Great Uncle Bulgaria plushies a couple months ago and I love them. I plan on getting a Madame Cholet plush as well as some pins, although I can't find any Great Uncle Bulgaria ones sadly.

I’m not in #Wimbledon often, but I am today (Not for tennis) and I’ve just discovered this wonderful mural in an alleyway I never even knew existed. #Wombles.

The first two Blondie songs I ever heard were Call Me and Hanging On The Telephone, so as a kid I vaguely thought they were a novelty band who only did stuff about phone calls, in the same way the Wombles focused heavily on wombling.

Listening to a Wombles single that is a classical music track with their vocals on it. I was unaware the Wombles had such a varied oeuvre.

I wish I could do that... but crochet is my superpower... I can think about a 3D item... and crochet it out of my head... I have no idea how I do it... because I couldn't begin to draw or explain it... I just feel it... and do it... I once made a womble by just thinking about my childhood toy...
