State Superintendent Sent Oklahoma Teachers the Wrong Constitution. In March of 2025, state Superintendent, Ryan Walters, who recently resigned, sent two “God Bless the USA” Bibles to my school to be used in my AP U.S. Government & Politics classes. (1/7) #oklaed

Ryan Walters is so afraid of big bad woke boogeyman teachers from California. Meanwhile, I’m a leftist, & I teach U.S. Government right down the road from his office. He spreads fear about out-of-state woke teachers when the call is coming from within the house! #oklaed

Tomorrow I begin year 14 as an Oklahoma social studies teacher. But perhaps more impressive, I will also begin year 4 teaching under the oppressive Ryan Walters regime. #oklaed

Ryan Walters is extremely unpopular in Oklahoma right now! But the reality is that if general reelection was tomorrow, he would still have a solid chance of defeating any highly qualified Democrat. That’s the incredible stranglehold the Republican Party has on Oklahoma! #oklaed

Oklahoma districts and schools are breathing easier right now knowing that Ryan Walters is a little too preoccupied to keep up his usual pace of constantly hating on teachers and students around the state. #oklaed

Two things that would be immensely better than Ryan Walters getting in serious trouble for inappropriate material on an OSDE device:

1. Ryan Walters was a decent human being not beholden to out-of-state operatives.

2. Oklahoma elected Jena Nelson in 2022.

The anti-woke movement has taken a teacher shortage and made it so much worse! This is apparent in Oklahoma where state board of ed. members quibble over bandaid solutions while ignoring the root cause. Oklahoma will never incentivize its way out of our teacher shortage! #oklaed

At the OK State Board meeting happening now, Ryan Walters just referred to those of us in public attendance as the “peanut gallery.” Does he know that this is a racist phrase? Yes, he does. #oklaed

If possessing the full knowledge that Ryan Walters is the undeniable #1 threat to Oklahoma schools is a medical condition, then consider me “Ryan Walters Derangement Syndrome” patient zero! #oklaed

I recently had a dream in which I befriended Ryan Walters. In the dream, Ryan Walters told me in confidence, “I don’t believe any of this shit, not a single word!” and then proudly smiled at me. #oklaed
