ReCycle Ride and milk before the storm tomorrow ! In fact, recycle day in general with quarterly Youghal dump visit this morning and with three green bags of grass from mowing yesterday !

Ballymaloe Bridge followed by Ferrit & Lee lunch in Midleton a great combination !

Just a short ReCycle ride today, but slightly longer time as had to shelter under a tree from brief rain shower ! Model Railway progress for the week: 4 engines can run on two loops, turntable/sidings next week…

Monday train trip into Cork for a Nero and fruitless attempt to find a Railway Modeller magazine, but the new track laying train, bound for the Midleton second track, made up for the slight disappointment !

Short Direct ReCycle ride down to Ballymacoda for an Observer to test out puncture repair, all OK. Later went to see new second track laid last week between Carrigtwohill and Midleton ! By an amazing coincidence the very same week my N gauge railway was revived !

One campaigner said the spread of industrial chemicals to some of Scotland’s most remote waters was “really heartbreaking”. Another living near the Lewis site said the results demonstrated the need for more testing, not less.

No trains today, so long cycle along cycleway from Carrigtwohill Station to Harper Island overbridge showing a rail worker taking some alignment measurements ready for 2nd track !

Quick short cycle around Midleton Station showing the Sperry permanent way vehicle stabled at the very end of platform 1 siding !

New Mixed cans top and tail the bottle bank today, which makes sense given the deposit return scheme. Operation conserve battery successfully completed for last big hill on ReCycle/Observer ride from Ballymacoda. Also, 4th place and LMP in our first Bridge tournament at Cork Marts, Fermoy yesterday!

Tuesday (as too wet Sunday and too windy Monday) ReCycle/Bottle-bank ride via the grounds of St Peter in Chains Catholic Church and to post a letter !

Wednesday morning for one last walk around Bilbao in light rain, so we shelter in El Tilo for one last cheesecake too !

Tuesday Bilbao Evening walk from Uribitarte tram stop to brilliant Basuki restaurant for some excellent food and ambience !

Tuesday Walk around San Sebastián promenade to take the funicular upto Monte Igueldo for fantastic views over the bay.

Evening meal Monday walk to El Txoko Beria Restaurant for some slow, but delicious Goxus sponge/cheesecake dessert !

Monday evening walk back from Bilbao Bus station across the railway tracks to our Goien Boutique Hotel !

Monday Santander seafront stroll, stepping into a cafe to avoid the rain, and Pont Aven arrives on way back !

Sunday evening walk out to somewhat slow service at Laztana Restaurante, but we got a free beef tapas for our troubles !

Sunday morning walk to Bilboats for a two hours cruise down river almost to the sea travelling under the unique transporter bridge !

Saturday Evening walk out to Gerri Taberna for some delicious basque cheesecake served by Jedward !

Saturday walk to Funicular de Artxanda and then back via Guggenheim museum on a very hot day, but great views all around !

Late Bertiz Bilbao Breakfast sitting underneath a ‘Tourist Go Home’ sign, but obviously they mean someone else !

Bilbao stroll for first ever pintos and a beer (Amstel Gold), delicious!
