I usually have something similar, but it’s like it came one time in the beginning of the year and has definitely overstayed its welcome by now 🤦🏼‍♀️ Hopefully I’m able to find time to do nothing 😅 maybe I can schedule that for next weekend lol

I don’t want to just be going through the motions right now, I want to actually want to go do things. Even if I have to do them alone!! And I don’t want to feel terrible about telling people “I’m busy” all the time because I’m busy trying to find where tf all my energy went 😬

I’m in the process with my therapist of trying to find something medication wise that might help too because even the high from having a good lesson only lasts until I get back home if I’m lucky then the spoons are gone again 😅

Gonna shout into the void and ask what are good ways to get out of a funk?
Not like a “oh I just want to chill today” vibe but like the energy to just exist is taxing so trying to start things I think about wanting to do is essentially a no go 🫤

A bit of timeline cleanse for anyone who needs:

It’s just Gus being the absolute sleepiest baby who doesn’t know he’s entered the “3-36 month trex phase” of puppyhood (please no one tell him yet 😅)

It’s a good day when you discover medication is water soluble/doesn’t have a coating so no coffee grinder is needed 🙌🏻

If not still smol puppy at 19 weeks then why smol puppy shaped??

(He is pushing being over 50lbs 😂)

Sitting in the airport (away from people or masked up) listening to a banger movie soundtrack with coffee and a book while I people watch…unfortunately I feel like this is my peak form 😂

Getting a text from my farrier about what time to meet this morning…I did not have an appointment in my calendar 😳

Luckily he had me on there twice because u had to reschedule so it was sorted out but the anxiety I had for a solid 57 seconds before I remembered was real 😂

I hope I’m not jinxing myself when I say at 4 months old Gus is not being the typical “trex” Doberman puppy people talk about…
This is him 87% of the time. The other 13% is eating, potty time, and working on some basic obedience/targeting work 😂

People ask how I would deal with having a “Velcro dog” breed like a Doberman…I just look at them and tell them I have Velcro thoroughbreds so I should be fine…they laugh but I am not joking 😂 they supervise EVERY little thing I do while I’m outside 👀

Thankfully it stayed dry here for this shoeing cycle and I was able to treat it daily for the first few weeks. The vet said his X-rays showed the pocket of white line was gone!! He had to cut out a bit more hoof in that again spot but we got one back on!

True 😅
I’m also just nostalgic because we don’t have them in Arizona and I would like to save big money again…incessantly played jingle and all lol

But are you not compelled to save big money? 😂

Been on a bit of puppy overload the last couple weeks and only got to ride once last Sunday so hopefully now that Gus is learning to use the dog door and not having as many accidents inside I can get back to working this goob more regularly 🤞🏻🤞🏻

His name at the rescue was “Goofy” and I can totally see why after just a couple of days 😅

I applied to adopt with the rescue a few months ago and after the application process,various interviews/home checks, reference calls, waiting, being matched and then coordinating/completing all of the puppy requirements he joined the rest of the gang on Tuesday after we got back from Kentucky!

He was part of a 7 puppy litter that was surrendered with mom in Palm Springs and brought to a breed specific rescue in the Phoenix area. Some of the puppies (not him) have some other health issues due to mom being malnourished while pregnant.

Now is as good of a time as any to introduce everyone to Gus 🥰

(mainly because he is supposed to be outside going potty right now but waking up from a 2 hour nap is hard and it’s much easier to just snuggle in my lap to sleep more while I sit outside in the grass 😂)

Ok I’m officially carrying this in my armband for the rest of eternity.
I can use all the help I can get and a 4 leaf clover straight from the XC course at Kentucky has to bring a little extra luck right? 🍀😅

I literally went and cried after 😂

(I know the world is terrible and I still hate the current administration) but a bright spot for me today is I met Michael Jung after his 18.6 dressage test at Kentucky and he signed my hat 🥲🧢

Randomly had a pheasant show up at my house? And I can’t catch him so he’s just hanging out eating my game bird food 🤷🏼‍♀️

Thinking it’s from the neighbor’s because they have a menagerie of birds 🙄 (in questionable, ramshackle coops but that’s a discussion for another day)

And when they said it had multiple tropes…they meant they tried to put every trope they knew any bit of information about into one book 😅

I saw one of those “do you like xyz books? Well this is MY book & it has XYZ PLUS ABC” posts
So I read it…and I lost track of the spelling/grammatical errors 🫣 Naturally I had to see what book 2 was like…

It was not any better…and idk if I just read the 3rd one for laughs or quit while I’m ahead 😂

My farrier is awesome, he coordinated with a vet he knows to come to my next shoeing to get some X-rays real time and coordinate a game plan for shoeing going forward because Donte had a bit of an explosion of white line disease this cycle 😬

He literally called me and was like “don’t be mad” 😂
