I have frequently got a song in my head. This is a quality I attribute to almost everyone, that interior sound track.

I am also a lyrics goblin and like to occasionally use the background noise of a song playing for foreshadowing.

I mentioned it in a previous comment but the Annihilation soundtrack is anxiety inducing. For me it captures the utter deconstruction of self as a singular immutable truth. I've tried to capture that feeling but so far it remains tantalizing and ineffable.

Hey #HorrorWritersChat ! I write a lot of mixed genre work, but my horror is a lot of body horror, angry women, and Latin American flavor, woven together. Currently been listening to a love of indie pop synth, like the Knocks, MUNA, the midnight, and Tove Lo.

Spooky lofi is some good writing music. Perfect for this time of year! :D

I am Christine (like the car), my horror is supernatural/cosmic/monsters, and when I listen to music while writing it’s usually lyricless. Lofi chill, or metal for a specific mood. #horrorwriterschat
