"This program was designed to remove barriers by ensuring everyone can safely use facilities with dignity and confidence without compromising their identity, wherever they are. Carry a key with you everywhere - it opens up a network of accessible toilets, giving you peace of mind wherever you go." The key is attached to the letter.

A huge thank you to our volunteers, paid contractors offering their discounted services, and everyone who has shown support.

For some of us, this scheme is our default. Not because we gave up, but because we're not male or female. The UK refuses to acknowledge that we even exist

The lack of gender-neutral, accessible toilets is also a huge problem. Making it impossible to exist in public. For us, this is always needed

Imagine you are being hassled on a train. You get off the train and are frightened of being attacked. With the Pee in Peace Program you now have somewhere safe to head to, that gives you an opportunity to safely call for help. That's why I have one.

Founded in May 2025, our Pee in Peace Program distributes accessible toilet keys to people who are experiencing, or are fearful of, hostilities in public facilities and work environments. As an organisation, we are firmly in opposition to UK government developments regarding trans rights, and believe that they are in contravention of European Human Rights law. We are acutely aware that it is not just trans people that are affected by the rhetoric or who stand to be unjustly targeted, so the Pee in Peace Program is open to anyone in the UK.

The keys are free if you need them to be, but if donating, we suggest a minimum donation of £5/key to cover our costs (and encourage those who can afford it to donate whatever they can, so that we can continue to assist those on low incomes for free.) Please note: Free Keys are limited to 1 per person. Keys by Donation are limited to 3 per person

We hate this scheme as much as you all do. It's jarring to take in, and if you perceive it as giving up, will trigger annoyance. We get it.

We arent saying give up.

We are saying "can you imagine a scenario where you might need one?"
