SE Asia Occultation
There are two bright star occultations by the waxing gibbous Moon over the next 24 hours:
-First up, the 83% illuminated Moon occults the +3.7 magnitude star Gamma Capricorni for Indonesia and SE Asia centered on 12:28 Universal Time; paging @marwellaspaceart.bsky.social & @shahgazer.bsky.social
Thanks for the alert. Itβs gonna be a close call from Kuala Lumpur. For Gamma Cap, ingress will be around 8 minutes after sunset. Unfortunately I will miss Delta Cap.

I am back after long hiatus. Itβs been a wild few months for me.
Finally decided to get the Lunt Solar Wedge for white light solar observations. Looks promising using my small 420mm TS65Q.
Kosmos-428-SA has most likely reentered by now. Have not heard any reports of observations. Space Force will at some point issue a reentry estimate - nothing yet.
