Hereβs 7 hrs of M33 for your viewing pleasure!
I love all space photos, but Iβm a galaxy lover at heart. The Triangulum is at the sweet spot in size that makes it one of the more approachable targets for mid-focal length telescopes (400-600mm).

Be still my heart!
I recently had the chance to use my friendβs Hyperstar setup and camera. What an incredible light bucket! I can see why these setups are so popular π€―

Hopefully back to quicker turnarounds on projects; I snagged 6hrs on the Pac-Man nebula last night! Used a slightly different narrowband palette, which I feel highlights the core a bit more!

Quite possibly my longest project to date, I finally finished my mosaic of the Andromeda galaxy! I learned a ton from this one, and feel much more comfortable with now. Still, Iβll be sticking to one-offs for a little while π

The Triffid. 10hrs so far this year and Iβve gotten next to nothing of use. Itβs just too close to some street lights where I shoot, and make it pointless for me to try.

I usually did it right before bringing the scope in the morning, but Iβve started taking right at the start of imaging the night before and love that routine way better. Itβs nice to just haul in gear when Iβm groggy and sleepy the next day!

Question; is there a reason why you use a diagonal with your imaging setup? Does the diagonal cause any aberration or light loss?

Thanks! I processed it in Pixinsight using a couple of SETI Astroβs processing script (statistical stretch) as well as Bxt and Nxt. Iβm playing a lot with more rich star color now that Iβm not limited by chromatic aberration (I just upgraded from a doublet refractor to a newt)!
