Look at this photo taken by astronaut Don Pettit! ๐ฎ
โ3 galaxies at once! I photographed the Milky Way and both Magellanic Clouds in this star field from the SpaceX Crew 9 Dragon, on my new mission to the ISS.โ
Itโs not aliens. Itโs never aliens.

29.07.2025 01:42 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0This is a type of rock called a banded iron formation.
It's made of alternating layers of iron oxides (magnetite and haematite) and silica (chert and chalcedony).
It's 3.2 billion years old.
And it formed before life had oxygenated Earth's seas and atmosphere. It's almost from another planet.
greatly exaggerated

It's a comet that was discovered on 1 July 2025.
It's travelling at 58 km PER SECOND and isn't gravitationally bound to the Sun.
Which means you're looking at a comet that formed around another star, passing through the Solar System.
