US Supreme Court halts reinstatement of fired federal employees The U.S. Supreme Court blocked on Tuesday a judge's order for President Donald Trump's administration to rehire thousands of fired employees.

Roberts is sticking to the authoritarian playbook for supreme courts by not presenting major roadblocks for Trump's agenda and actions. If SCOTUS becomes an obstruction, their power could be marginalized. Roberts need to keep up the appearance of SCOTUS power.
