Why? Because the top 1% ate up an increasingly larger share of the national income — so that $79 trillion flowed to them instead of the working class.
The greatest trick of all is trickle-down economics.
Wow! The Supreme Court basically just said, if you want to do racial gerrymandering, have at it.
Let’s be clear, what Texas did was racial gerrymandering, plain and simple. SCOTUS just opened the floodgates.

Paulina Luisi (September 22, 1875 – July 17, 1950) was Uruguay’s first woman to earn a medical degree, a trailblazing physician, educator, and feminist whose work helped transform women’s rights and public health in Latin America Born in Colón, Argentina, to Italian and Polish immigrant parents who emphasized liberal education, Luisi moved with her family to Uruguay as a child. She and her sisters became among the first professional women in the country—Clotilde became Uruguay’s first female lawyer, and Luisa a noted poet and educator In 1900 she enrolled in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of the Republic in Montevideo, and in 1908 became Uruguay’s first female physician, specializing in gynecology and later dermatology and venereal diseases (trained in Paris, 1923). Luisi also became a respected academic, teaching hygiene and public health, and leading studies into social hygiene—addressing issues like prostitution, sexual health, and child welfare Beyond medicine, Luisi was a tireless campaigner for women's political and civil rights. In 1907 she helped establish the Uruguayan branch of the Association of University Women, and in 1916 co-founded the Consejo Nacional de Mujeres del Uruguay (National Women’s Council), later forming the Uruguayan Women’s Suffrage Alliance in 1919. Her organizations, writing (such as Una moral única para ambos sexos and Otra voz clamando en el desierto), and activism played a central role in securing women’s suffrage in Uruguay in 1932 (first exercised in 1938)
