What is "free speech"? Is it that speech has no consequences? Or is protected from being blocked or punished by authorities? Does it apply to all speech or just political expression? Are spoken commands covered, such as "kill that person there"? What about the reach of the speaker?

The idea that opinions ( even if based in ignorance) are as valid as facts is the great deception at the heart of social media and right wing political movements. Hold on to facts, and remember that research is a difficult and meticulous process not a quick google search.

Biggest issues? Probably managing the environment physically. Dealing with power heirarchies and the tools they use such as misinformation and anti science in the public realm.

Its easy to despair at present. The legal system in the US has been corrupted from the top. You can't fix a corrupt legal system from within I think.

This TikToker, Franchesca Leigh, is going mega viral for her new 'I Never Thought the Leopards Would Eat My Face' song that she sings over videos of Trump voters and stories about Trump voters whining after the election. This is perfection.

In Australia we have compolsary voting. You don't have to vote for any one, you could just put in a blank ballot. What it does do is prevent voter suppression.

Wish I could add a laugh emoji on that one. 🤣
