According to Kinder Institute For Urban Research at Rice University, Texas is 83.9% urban, similar to Maryland and Washington State. Arizona, California, and Florida are about 90% urban. Since 2022, U.S. Census defines βurbanβ as population 5000+, w/ 2000+ housing units, and commercial areas nearby.

My understanding is that SoCal Research does low-cost online polling, the quality of which isnβt very good. UNH Survey Center is considered high quality and reliable. Polls this far from election time may not tell us as much as weβd like.

But it only gets 4% of the media coverage.
Why? Neglect. Misunderstanding. And a hell of a lot of greenwashing.

That should cover us for a while.
Where is that, by the way?

US Taxpayers Will Pay Billions in New Fossil Fuel Subsidies Thanks to the Big Beautiful Bill
A report finds that President Trumpβs flagship legislation will grant $40 billion in new subsidies to the oil and gas industry over the next decade.
The Trump administration has already added nearly $40 billion in new federal subsidies for oil, gas, and coal in 2025, a report released Tuesday finds, sending an additional $4 billion out the door each year for fossil fuels over the next decade.
And guess what, taxpayers are going to pay for it.

Scarcity and abundance
There are two ways to think about achievement and the idea of getting ahead: Perhaps itβs a race. Getting ahead means beating the competition. But perhaps itβs simply an effort to move β¦
Hereβs a distinction weβre debating politically and culturally. I would have said βsufficiencyβ instead of βabundanceβ. Thereβs such a thing as βenoughβ β enough is plenty, and thereβs enough for everyone.
