Hey. I just saw that you don't DM. Just wanted to ask, are you marching Saturday? Just wanted to know. I don't live in the States, but if I did, I'd be marching. You can DM me.

Whoever wrote that piece should, at least, get their facts right. Twice they say that he has two daughters. He has a boy and a girl.

I saw Lord of the Flies there too. Little did I know that I was watching my future brother-in-law, who played the part of Piggy. He told me many stories of the making of the film. Said it was really good fun.

When she was 6 years old, my sister fell into this fountain while trying to walk on the rounded edge. When we got home, with her dripping wet and crying, guess who got the blame.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Exactly! So many people calling her Ms Goodall. She was a doctor and should be titled as such.

Because the only bodies that were shipped home, were the ones that the families had asked for. Where there was no demand, the bodies were left where they were, in this case Cambridge and the addition of others was probably a sort of amalgamation, keeping them all under the one controlling body,/1

It's not even the end of September! And I thought the UK was bad starting the run-up to Christmas in November. (And before anyone jumps in, I know there are certain who start earlier.)

As I pointed out in the 'other' place, in the official announcement it says that the tree survived the Clydeside Blitz, which was in Clydebank, which is some 6 miles away from Argyle Street. If memory serves, Argyle Street wasn't hit in the Clydeside Blitz.

Joyeuse anniversaire, LK. I am also a French resident and wouldn't go back if you paid me. My dad was also born on the 23rd, but in 1919. Obviously no longer with us.

When I moved to England I learned that everyone else called it a manhole cover. Long-winded term when one word will do.πŸ™„

Favourite stank! I used the word 'stank' at a Doune Hill Climb, many years ago, when I was lining up the cars to go up the hill. The driver in the first car was an Englishman and he gave me ever such a weird look. I had to point out the place that I meant. Stank was the only word I knew for it!
