MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Alberto Castañeda Mondragón says his memory was so jumbled after a beating by immigration officers that he initially could not remember he had a daughter and still struggles to recall treasured moments like the night he taught her to dance. But the violence he endured last month in Minnesota while being detained is seared into his battered brain. He remembers Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents pulling him from a friend’s car on Jan. 8 outside a St. Paul shopping center and throwing him to the ground, handcuffing him, then punching him and striking his head with a steel baton. He remembers being dragged into an SUV and taken to a detention facility, where he said he was beaten again. He also remembers the emergency room and the intense pain from eight skull fractures and five life-threatening brain hemorrhages.

ICE told nurses this Minneapolis man “purposefully ran headfirst into a brick wall.”

What actually happened is that they pulled him from a car, beat him so viciously with a steel baton that he had 8 skull fractures, 5 life-threatening brain hemorrhages, and couldn’t remember he had a daughter.

Mamdani: "I speak of Renee Good, whose final words to the man who murdered her were, 'I'm not mad at you.' I speak of Alex Pretti who died as he lived, caring for the stranger. Any threat of a firearm is a clear lie when there is video footage of them removing the weapon before killing him.

They murder a man in cold blood and wait around to watch him die. There is no hell hot enough. Abolish DHS. Impeach, convict, remove. Trials as soon as possible.

Video before it happens is showing this guy they shot in the head in Minneapolis was just standing there videoing them before and they got out to push him back and then murder him.

Minneapolis Police Chief O'Hara: "The video speaks for itself. We have identified this person - 37-year-old, white male, resident of the city. The only interaction that we are aware of with law enforcement has been for traffic tickets and we believe he is a lawfully gun owner with a permit to carry"

Combat veteran William Vermie says he was denied access to a lawyer after being detained for filming ICE in Minneapolis.

Just saw footage of federal agents, either ICE or border patrol, shooting someone point blank in Minneapolis. Again. Seven of them had the man pinned down, they were beating him, then one murders him. They’re giving us no choice but to fight back like our lives depend on it.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained a 5-year-old boy in Minnesota this week after he came home from school. Federal agents took the child, Liam Conejo Ramos, from his family's driveway.

ICE agent asked why he's taking pictures of a legal observer's car, replies: "Cuz we have a nice little database and now you're considered a domestic terrorist. So have fun with that."
