All I'll say is he is nailed, whereas there is a chance Gordon starts CF or Woltemade comes off early for Wissa.

I would like to see him play more, and he has looked good since he came in. Not sure he's an FPL option just yet, because we have a good run coming up and it's better to have nailed players, but if he becomes first choice then definitely an option

I think it's very difficult to call. Think defence will be Tino, Burn, Thiaw, plus either Schar or Hall. If Schar then Burn left back.

Guimaraes will start.

I would expect Murphy, Woltemade, Barnes, but Gordon could easily take any of those roles.

Haha I'm still feeling the repercussions of that captaincy and outcome now.

That was the biggest realisation for me, that I chose the statistical approach yet reject it in FPL. Doesn't make sense. Fran is great, especially his Cheat Sheet video

I did Pope to Henderson because I didn't trust any outfielder enough not to get rotated, and I thought my team looks great except Thiago. I went for Henderson because I can FH in 16, which means his fixtures for me are Burnley, Fulham, Leeds, Spurs, Fulham, which looks lovely.

Thank you very much! Yes, I really enjoy the Cheat Sheet. Even if people don't watch his other content, it is worth taking 20 minutes to watch that each week. I was a bit worried I listened a bit too much, but the point of the conversation was to learn and I'm not going to do that through talking!

You are probably right. After a while you start to be able to instinctively read which players are 'optimal', and just being on social media in these FPL Communities brings a lot of the main analytics players to the forefront of the agenda.

Fran saying how the more he understands analytics the less he respects those who clearly use programme solvers to make all their decisions was very relatable to me.

This is my first guest on my channel, and I am very grateful to @fplfran.bsky.social for coming on. Thoroughly enjoyed his attempts to sweet-talk me over to the analytics dark side, and he made a very good case.
