Project Renew provides free legal aid for those impacted by opioid use disorder Officials with Project Renew, a statewide program to help those affected by substance use disorder sort through civil legal issues, said they are working hard to help families in local communities.

Civil legal support is a critical but often overlooked part of addiction recovery. Kentucky’s Project Renew, staffed by legal aid advocates, provides support to those impacted by substance use disorders, including housing, custody, record expungement and more.

Rick nearly lost the home he inherited from his mom to foreclosure over unpaid taxes. With Legal Aid’s help, he stopped the sale and is now saving his family home—one monthly tax payment at a time. 😊
