The faded calico kitty is safely in a kennel waiting for her rescue. She is surrounded by a pile of eight newborn kittens trying to nurse. The babies are only two to four hours old. Four of the kittens appear to be brown tabbies, plus two orange tabbies, and two calicos.

Rescued a mama kitty and her brand new litter from our bushes. My dogs wanted to eat them, but luckily I had them leashed for our walk. Thank you to Texas Rustlers Fat Cat for being so fast to take the whole litter to foster!

Lazing on the couch reading a book. Diva called a truce in order to cuddle me while little dude was napping on me, too. Hopefully, she will come to love him as much as we do! This is a huge step forward, heh.

We have a set of Christmas bells hanging from our back door that the diva uses to be let outside. Little dude has taught himself how to ring the bells so he can go outside when he wants, too. Little dude is tracking a squirrel, and checks the yard often for these intruders.

Little dude got snipped on Friday. Thus far, he has destroyed his original plastic e-collar, & in 24 hours, his inflatable donut e-collar. Luckily, I predicted this, so I had purchased some pajamas. All well & good, but in less than 6 hours, the pajamas have been torn during play with the diva. 🤦‍♀️

Things are already looking good between little dude and the diva. While I was clearing off the back porch, diva and dude played tag! When little dude felt intimidated, he used the patio furniture as a run break. The diva can't chase him there and it slowed her down. Smart pupper!

He really, really is. I'm hoping he and the diva bond, because she needs an emotional support dog, too, hah! As long as they end up tolerating each other, though, he will be here forever. He is so even tempered. I can't believe someone threw him away. Their loss, our gain!

Newest family member! He's a sweet little dude, a mix of confident and shy as he figures out his place. He's playful & cuddly & chill, which is the perfect mix for our house. If our diva loves him, he's part of our family. So far, he likes her, and she likes him as long as he stays off her couch.

My son's dungeon for Friday night D&D last week....

The quote of the evening after I said they could eat the dungeon:

"Oh! Diabetes speed run!"

Used 1" grid wrapping paper as the base, so they didn't have to extrapolate movement.
