Thanks to AI we now have unique misinformation. Think about it, just a few years ago if someone said something really stupid you could actually figure out where they heard it. Now, AI is creating new and unique bullshit for every gullible person. It's much harder to show them how it happened now.

I'm still in shock. I found a solid wood, fully carved, handmade upright bass for less than you can buy a student cello. This is, by far, the most valuable instrument I own now. I can't believe my luck! I tried my best to tell the guy what it was, but he insisted it was just a "student cello."

Two years ago I was messing around with this nature documentary idea: "Juggle Planet"

Do you ever make it up to north LA? I have a somewhat big job on a small piano for my studio.

Invariably the reference track has less bass than I've been mixing with. Its almost a ritual at this point, the last step is to walk over to the bass amp (currently acting as a subwoofer) and turn it up so I can turn down the bass in the track and make it reasonable.

I use reference audio (ideally something VERY successful which sounds similar) and make a note of how the EQ visualizer looks (usually the line is slightly lower in treble than bass) and then try to match that. I've never actually seen a flat reference, they always have higher bass than treble.

I have a particularly involved job with an upright piano in North Hollywood for you. I forget what they are called but a few of the little springy things got popped out of place during a move. I think the entire action assembly needs to come out.

That's a really logical pedal board. I would probably set it up in the exact same order except I tend to like compressors after distortion, although you probably have it there to help the pog? Great layout, logical choices. I need more JHS pedals.
