10.11.2025 08:24 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Every single day, the BBCβs coverage of Palestine is systematically racist - against Palestinians. Every day, at present, what is happening to the bodies of a few dead Israelis is considered newsworthy while the actual ongoing killing (and torture, and ethnic cleansing) of many Palestinians is not.

Worth a look at whatβs going on here
Brown Shrike isn't the really rare bird it was, even 20 years ago, as a presumed westward push means records here have risen well past the 50 mark. However, it is still a species that brings a few identification teases with it; careful appraisal (especially if views aren't as good as these!) of several features is still needed to make sure of making the right call. If you can enjoy good views, then Brown Shrike identification can come quite quickly... The bird in Suffolk really is a beauty with ID features a go go.
I enjoyed the Suffolk Brown Shrike ~ so smart & an example of a rarity that you can still dig into in terms of identification. Arrows highlight the classic bull-headed look, a large-looking bill, striking mask & longish tail, with the shortish primary projection is in yellow.
See ALT too.
