What are the wires for? Remote adjustable shocks? Anyway, looks beautiful!

Lower links were shortened, sleeved with a fish-mouthed piece. Upper links with new heim joints installed. Terrible pic.

Visited the Fairlane at car college. Links in the rear suspension shortened and installed. Pinion angle corrected. Driveshaft ordered.

I don’t know how I feel about these in general.

Yeah that was my other choice. Really anything probably 80’s to 90’s before they went rounded.

In the US, for this purpose, I’d have to go with an old Volvo, probably a 240. Anything more rare might be difficult to keep going as a daily or be too showy.

Thanks! We were both really surprised how well it kind of cleaned up. It sounds silly but replacing the various rubber pieces and trim that was covered with overspray made a massive difference.

We redid the entire interior as well.

It’s in such a nice spot - looks really good but not a show car. This thing has what looks like a cheap paint job but cleaned up nicely. Changing all weatherstripping etc that was covered with overspray made a HUGE difference.

Need to mess with the timing and brakes as well as some other things.

Supercharged GT polished up and started. Looks pretty good!

I can really only get 91 here but the elevation makes it act like 93, supposedly. It seems to be slightly more happy with a bit of octane booster.

I’m only MGE occasionally… looks like that guy had a combination of too much compression and too much boost? This red MGB has the 8:1 engine - hopefully it’s ok. We thought about getting the “big boost” pulley but sounded like there was no point without head work.

My white MGB is running 10:1.

Two different ways to theoretically make about the same power. Results TBD. The white MGB weighs probably 300+ pounds less than the red GT, but the supercharger probably makes a lot more torque down low.
