Yep!

I guess it changes for me but right now it’s a toss up between the P38 and the F104.

Love my old cars but this is truly lol. Also I wonder if he has absolutely any idea how many chips are in every single modern car and how that contributes to the economy.

I’m as big a fan of old
British cars as anyone, but, got to check your expectations for what they are on long, straight, fast interstates.

Integra Type-S exhaust

It’s not titanium but they did give the Integra Type-S a lot more popping sounds. Sometimes it feels a little juvenile, but it only does it in Sport + mode. Also, interestingly the engine in the Type-S uses less boost than the Type-R, but more timing, and tends to dyno higher than the Civc.

From what I understand, the softer ride on this vs the Civic Type-R makes it a much easier car to live with on the street. Specs aside, it’s actually pretty engaging to drive.

Might be nice in something much less expensive but yeah, it’s just missing something.

The more I look at it the less I like the center screen with that big, thick handle.

Oh wow, that’s cool. Would you then try to change the diff yourself, or send it out? Some of that stuff scares me a bit if the parts are rare (hopefully you’ve got a source for 5 speed stuff who will ship to you..).

Anyway a 5 speed 850R sounds just about perfect.

Yeah, the LSD is nice for sure. I would definitely do it if you need to pull the trans or do the clutch or something. That said, it’s hard to say if it fundamentally changes the car.

This Integra is the first FWD car I’ve had with an LSD.

Yeah agree. I’ve had more FWD cars than anything and am no snob about it. I think with this Integra it’s honestly a bit overpowered for FWD in some situations which makes it more imperfect but by no means bad, and therefore kind of fun.

Also please pour one out for Honda’s previously untouchably tiny amount of fender over the front wheels (double wishbones, sigh).

It’s an open car and a sports car. Honestly it’s hard to beat like on the perfect summer night.

But I just really love Integras I guess haha.

For whatever reason I think the best Hondas are always practical cars that are just a bit more fun to drive than they needed to be.

Don’t get me wrong, I think S2000s are great, they’re just kind of their own thing IMO.

It’s a great car! Hope to keep this one 20 or 30 years 🙂

I have a huge soft spot for any version of the DC2. My first car was a 96 Integra LS and I think it was maybe the best car Honda ever made. I would probably trade my S2000 for a good DC2R.

I don’t know if these are the absolute best as a pair but they’re a pretty good one.

Get something as new as you can get - should last 10 or 20 years.

Also figure out what you can get and keep repairing forever (something really old).

Cool guy at work here restores old cars and brought his Volvo in for me today to see. He let me drive it, too! Malaysia is a cool place. He’s driven this all around SE Asia it sounds like. Awesome.

Cynically, I think this stuff might continue until there is major and widespread economic fallout, or a serious and prolonged stock market correction.

At best maybe it will just be escapism for people and kind of sputter along. But, yeah, there’s a prevalent element there that just can’t help but constantly bring up how climate change is fake and adjacent stuff.

I also don’t want the car I’ve put thousands of hours into, like, run over by a tank

Guess it only matters if we enforce the laws, right? Starting to feel like we passed the point of no return a long time ago and are just awaiting something super bad to happen. As if it hasn’t already.
