Yeah, I lived a friday night lights adjacent life as a band geek in 1 of the top marching & concert bands in the state in the 90s & I was so not excited about football vs half time! 😆 But I've heard the show is great. That Explosions in the Sky soundtracked it is cool!

They needed to pay attention to my state, to other red states, & focus more on state legislatures & courts in general. & voters needed to take primaries seriously. TXGOP extremists certainly took their own primaries seriously & took local races seriously, not just POTUS, Governor & Senate races

Yep. & primaries are where a lot of it happens, down ballot races are where a lot of it happens. The national Democratic Party let TXGOP run increasingly conservative judges & lege candidates, purging more & more moderates each primary, w/the goal of taking out Roe via state legislatures & courts.

PS Even white people have aunts who aren't technically aunts in many cases. I had an aunt & uncle growing up who I still would refer to that way today who were just very close friends with my parents. That wasn't something unusual. Also, found family exists, ffs.
