It's funny because windows iirc has THREE in house methods for displaying windows. My work swapped to 11 and it caused multiple headaches and has been a pain to work with.

I knew w11 was cooked when I learned they used an API from meta for window display and the fact cave story needs a patch for it.

I tried running Linux on my desktop but ended up losing a drive to corruption due to Linux mint not recognizing 2 nvme drives and my entire art pipeline is tethered to windows (thanks celsys) so as much as I'd love to run Linux, I'm more apprehensive about it on my main rig.
