Agreed on lots of this thread (and I loved Curtis).
But I think people thinking of themselves as influencers/creators/mini businesses is a stretch. Or maybe I'm just old school. I have a WFH 9-5, normie suburban life, and am not part of the 'hustle' culture that many ultra-online folks abide by.

Yeah, I've been in the slack and it used to be much more active. Like I said, open platforms (IG) are good for growth, but I find the connections fleeting and scattered without a more community oriented place for them to deepen.

I'm here checking things out, but my feeling is that real online community building happens in more private spaces like discord and slack.

Public places are good for growth, but only foster real connections once they turn into real world interactions.

My instinct is to make the case that USAID is extremely good, actually. But I feel like it’s more important to say, “What is happening is antagonistic to the foundational document of the nation.”
