Making paint from pink and red pigments
A photo from a paint making workshop. Blue, yellow and red watercolour paint is being made from pure ultramarine and ochre pigments
Lake pigments are made from dyes. The photo shows small jars filled with multicoloured lake pigments
The image is split screen. The top shows some jars containing pigments which are made from minerals or are synthetic products which are chemically analogous to minerals. The lower part of the image shows brightly coloured mineral specimens
