FOCUS ON THE FANS/COMMUNITY Celebrity autographs and photos are a HUGE part of the draw to Star Wars Celebration, but they also take up a HUGE part of the convention hall — and a lot of panel time. A new convention could shift the focus toward showcasing what fans are capable of. For instance, one presenter at SWCJ this year did an hour-long deep dive into Mon Mothma. They might just be one of the world's foremost experts on Mon Mothma. Let's highlight MORE PEOPLE LIKE THEM! I'm SURE there are hundreds of capable, knowledgeable folks jumping at the bit to do panels on their own hyperfixations. Speaking personally, I'd be more than happy to talk to a crowd about Star Wars tabletop games for as long as anyone would let me!
