A colour practice with zorn palette starting from yellow ochre mixtures at left side.

The variety of zorn palette comes with a bit of surprise, even when I know it. Vibrant greens and blues are something this palette is missing so after a while I might add some colours. Let's see where this goes.

Four liquitex brand acrylic paint tubes and a paper smudged with the colours from the tubes. Colours form limited palette called the Zorn palette.

Decided to face my old nemesis and challenge myself with acrylics. Here is the palette I chose to start with: the Zorn palette. Although the red colour is a replacement as the shop didn't have a correct one, I'll need to buy another one someday. I quite like the simplicity of this palette.

Achieved one long time dream of mine: rented a space for studio. For art. With it started to practice traditional art once again and chose acrylics for the challenge. Might share the progress here, maybe as a diary of sorts.

I love to paint pet portraits and this little package of energy is a ref from from pixabay. Practicing flow of movement and wintery scenes. I'm currently working digitally and wondering if I should try traditional again for the next painting? What is your favourite traditional technic?
