Cellular agriculture and regenerative medicine strive to replace animal-derived products in their processes as much as possible. In these efforts dissโฆ
2025: GRAS-certified Nattokinase, a Bacillus subtilis byproduct, was used as a cell dissociation enzyme for bovine and human cells in culture media. It performed comparably to animal-derived trypsin - at a fraction of the cost.
