A year ago I arrived at San Antonio Regionals with my first ever, non-working, custom eReader card. I've since printed >2k working cards with >20 unique designs

Today, after many hurdles, I understand every single byte of the battle-e card program.

What a year! Hopefully the next one is crazier :)

How would I know what I need to buy?!?

I made a pretty big breakthrough last night on the e-Reader API!

A function has been tripping me up for a couple months now. It looked like it took parameters but I could never find them! Turns out, like RST n, the params are in ROM

Whoo-hoo! Not only did I find a second copy of the super-rare A Shop Called Quest variant for Card Wars #1, but it was signed by @jessiewong.bsky.social herself! That means I have two of the seven variants signed. And that's cool to me. 🤣

Research is hard and is why I donate to the VGHF. Sadly, I haven't found an Adventure Time Historical Foundation to support yet. 🤣

Forget video games, help me determine if this DVD ever actually released. Adventure Time: Card Wars in Region 4 (Australia) released by MadMan. I found an Amazon listing (oos), but nothing else. Considering I can find basically every other Adventure Time DVD in R4, I am guessing it doesn't exist.

I'm not sure how many homebrew Picross-styled games are out there, but this would definitely give yours something unique!

Oh! Give it e-Reader compatibility and let us import the levels from the cards. Why? Because you can! First homebrew game with e-Reader compatibility!

The Good Place is literally the best live action show ever. Four seasons, super tight, ended on an insane high note that wrapped it up perfectly.

I made a tweak to Smaghetti, my Super Mario Advance 4 level editor. It is now much easier to convert Smaghetti levels into e-reader cards.

With a level loaded in the editor, click the beaker in the lower right. In the modal that pops up, click "Download level as .bin".

I hadn't looked at any reviews and was afraid after watching it that it was going to get shredded. I am honestly shocked to see how good the reviews seem to be. I loved the movie, but figured most people wouldn't. Glad to see I was wrong and happy to see the next movie is already in the works!

I just watched the new 28 Years Later movie and... holy fuck, it's good. Like, not a good sequel to 28 Days Later, but, in a whole different category. I really liked it. Even the comedic dance sequence towards the end of the movie.
