The bug that crashes Franny Answers is now totally confirmed, as I hit the same bug in PixelPup.

SpriteFree does not truly deallocate sprites. Or maybe it does with an added parameter, who knows? The pitfalls of developing for a proprietary system that has to be reverse engineered to be understood.

So, like, an English and a Japanese "engine" card(s) and just puzzles on the other cards?

Because now I'm wondering what happens with the Animal Crossing mini-games if you scan a wrong-region character card.

Maybe it was made by Wayne Enterprises in the 60s? Their CEO loved to label things back then.

Thanks to @theunclebob.bsky.social's idea I was able to think of an idea that I'm really excited about. Hopefully I can pull it off. And even better, I think I will still have room for yet another feature on top of it.

Who says you can't fit cool games onto pieces of paper?

30 years ago, you were crazy to think "they" were spying on you through your TV. Now, we have smart TVs with cameras connected to the internet and selling every scrap of data they can to anyone willing to pay.

Obviously, the number of puzzles/cards can be adjusted however you want.

Would there be any way possible to split one image across four puzzles on four cards, requiring the player to complete all four puzzles to see the completed image?

I totally read this as "live singing" and, upon re-read, my disappointment is measurable. 🤣

How in the world did this game never get a sequel in the US?

Six different ideas for Franny the dog with an "entomology costume". She is low res pixel art, and the six different costumes are: bug antenna, holding a bug net, a bee costume, holding a bug display box, big fly eyes, and holding a magnifying glass.

My picross game for the Nintendo e-Reader, Pixel Pup, will have themed puzzle collections. The first theme is "entomology", so I'm exploring costumes for Franny (the game's mascot)

I'd support original Link's Awakening alongside the DX version, if they'd do it.

For every c-tier game, there's someone out there that loved it back in the day for whatever reason.

There's multiple games where "lesser" versions are already on the service. Heck, even the NES versions of SMB vs. All-Stars.

We have NES Tetris, GB Tetris, and GBC Tetris DX. NES Metroid and GBA Zero Mission. Three versions of Dr. Mario. Two versions of LttP.

But how do we convince Henk Rogers and Tetris to put Niko-Chan battle on it?

I mean, Super Mario Bros. is pretty barebones compared to SMB3, but leaving that out would be crazy.
