Over the last 20 years, looking at all vaccines administered domestically, there have been 9,933 actual vaccine injuries out of roughly 6.5 billion vaccines administered. Thatโ€™s just 0.015 percent of all vaccines that result in injuries over 20 years. An estimate 4.2 million lives have been saved.

Been seeing an uptick in what are clearly vibe-coded PRs. On the surface this seems great -- more contributors!

But in the reality it's often AI slop that the person hasn't reviewed and instead the burden of review is on us, the maintainers -- which is a horrible trade.

State of HTML 2025 Take the State of HTML survey

If you haven't already, do fill in the State of HTML survey, especially if you are a member of an underrepresented group so they get a diverse range of responses. Apparently browser vendors use this to inform what they do next ๐Ÿ‘€

Americans are relearning the lesson we learned during the Gilded Age of the late 1890s, when robber barons ran the government and the economy for their own benefit: Oligarchy is incompatible with the common good.

I'm hopeful we'll respond with a new progressive movement.

We are losing the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which has helped educate, inform, and entertain millions of Americans.

Instead, weโ€™re getting a vulgar new gold ballroom, which none of us will ever see.

I kinda think the way people use ChatGPT is sort of aspirational because it seems to emulate the way rich people have sycophants lying to them all the time until they lose touch with reality and also their entire minds

Iโ€™m off of work this week and last night I laid in bed trying to fall asleep while my brain just kept going.

I was thinking of how I would write the article talking about how replacing accessibility professionals with AI will fail and how itโ€™s a misguided move.

Iโ€™m super chill like that.
