The owls, coyotes, frogs, and crickets joined the Covenstead in frolicking under the Moon by a bonfire tonight. Cakes and ale were consumed and we brought a new Witch into the fold. An excellent Harvest Moon if I do say so myself. #WitchSky #OnTheCovenstead

ICE agents are reportedly creeping around high schools in Chicago. And because they are wearing masks, often not wearing uniforms and using unmarked vehicles this means that ANYONE could show up dressed like this and disappear kids off the streets. This is especially dangerous

Awoke to 34 degrees today. The last tomatoes will be pulled from the tunnel today. We'll do our best to winterize & use the space as we can until deep winter. The tunnel allowed us twice the harvest this year. Next year we take this year's lessons and kick even more #GrowFood butt. #OnTheCovenstead

Got to see my youngest son and daughter this week. Been too many months since we last visited, so it was nice to reconnect.

Inspired by @thetarotlady.bsky.social some time ago, I do a "Black-out Sabbath" and refrain from news and social media on Sundays. However, I think today I need to take the whole weekend to stay away. Shits crazy out there.

Plus many of us (hello Gen X) are helping parents and our kids survive this hellscape. But if there's a Democratic country out there with real healthcare that would take a family of seven plus a dog. Let me know.
