I wish I was better about taking pictures. The Lincoln County Fishing Club set up fishing lines with colored beads the kids got to pick out and then cast out their reels on a cardboard game. The kids were amped and the old fishermen were too. It was freaking precious.

We had National Night Out in town today and it was truly beautiful to witness. They have a very sincere community service approach that I’ve never in my life witnessed.

More than ever, I think community irl is critical. Being a stranger in a new place makes me push through my fear of appearing cringe and awkward …because I finally accept that I actually am cringe and awkward. :)

This is beautiful and something that takes a lot of effort for me in a town of 1400, but I’ve been making it happen this season.

Yes! The artist stained fabric and then quilted the pieces. If you zoom in you can kind of see the long arm stitch work. The precision of everything up close is wild.

I seriously love the Central Oregon Coast. Yesterday makes it two months that I’ve lived here and I struggle to complain. And for a fact, the people are considerably kinder than any other place I’ve ever lived. It’s felt welcoming and perfect.

I’m really looking forward this is event next weekend.

Today/tomorrow is the annual quilting artists presentation and this is last year’s winner for like best in show I think. It’s incredible and I’ve just recently started seeing this non-traditional form of the art. Wildly complicated and gorgeous.

They can be great, you’ll have to try one. I consider burrito bowls a carb loaded anti-salad. But if you yearn for the tortilla, I’ll bet they serve them as a side.
