I saw that article yesterday and shared it on Twitter and Facebook. (I don't tend to be very active here.) I'm not sure I agree with some of the author's comments.

An outstanding, empathetic long-read article on the tragic case of Constance Marten and Mark Gordon. Like the writer I've always wondered why this couple were prosecuted and brought to trial in the first place. Parents who lose a child deserve compassion not punishment. www.lrb.co.uk/the-paper/v4...

A very interesting interview with Anouk Curry, the producer of the recent highly acclaimed ITV documentary on the Lucy Letby case. youtu.be/xDu0nYfZKz4?... #LucyLetby

The ITV documentary about Lucy Letby is very good. Old school, public interest broadcasting which assumes the intelligence and the conscience of its audience. Anyone with the slightest interest in the case should watch it.

So have I. There's nothing wrong with what Shoo Lee. I've had enough of your rudeness. I'm now going to block you. Bye bye.

What are you on about? He submitted an updated paper which went through the peer review system and was accepted for publication. That's how scientific publication works!

None of the parents had any suspicions with Letby at the time. All the concerns raised at the trial are done through the lends of hindsight bias and because the parents been told by the police that their child had been murdered. They weren't to know that the police were incompetent .

12.08.2025 19:38 β€” πŸ‘ 3    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I've read the lawyers' responses and it's clear that there's a lot they don't understand They are representing the families very badly by refusing to engage with the new evidence. It's so sad for the families. They deserve the truth.

12.08.2025 19:36 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Shoo Lee was not instructed by Letby's lawyers. He and the other experts worked pro bono. He was simply enraged by the way his research was misrepresented by Dewi Evans and the CoA judges. You might want to read up on peer review to understand how it works.

12.08.2025 19:34 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

And none of the parents saw any problems at the time. Any self-respecting lawyer would engage with the new evidence but as far as I'm aware the families' lawyers still haven't asked for the reports from the world-leading experts.

So you're not shocked at the conflict of interest? My heart goes out to those poor parents but they've been gaslit from the start by the police and the lawyers. Some of them had even commenced legal proceedings against the hospital for negligence.

12.08.2025 13:31 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

It's shocking isn't it that such a conflict of interest exists. I tried writing to the Thirlwall Inquiry to alert them but they didn't seem to think it was anything of concern to them and it is was up to the lawyer.

11.08.2025 23:52 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I've given up trying to debate with him. He resorts to nasty and unwarranted insults. I've now blocked him. He seems to be hijacking lots of threads here. Despite the denials I wonder if he is in fact Dewi Evans.

The mother says in her Thirlwall testimony that she got her own phone records. The calls to the parents were logged and the mother's times are one hour out with the documentary records.

This is an excellent briefing paper on the junk science and shoddy statistics used in the Lucy Letby case. It is written by 18 experts, some of whom have not spoken out before. The paper was first published on 1 May 2025. www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/bxrjy...

The mother requested the data from the phone company and such data is always provided in UTC time. Why are you so rude and making false accusations about people telling lies?

11.08.2025 00:18 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I should have said GMT+1 (ie British Summer Time). The failure to allow for the clocks changing accounts for the discrepancy.

You are trolling me. I see no point in engaging with an anonymous account who presumably has a vested interested in upholding the verdict. You need to do your homework and read up on the evidence.

Can you seriously support a doctor who thinks it's possibly to kill a baby with "a dollop of air"?

No she didn't. The mother obtained the phone records from the phone company but the police failed to convert the time from UTC to GMT. As a result, the mother's times are out by an hour. Everyone else's testimony fits if the times are corrected.

And the College found no evidence of wrongdoing. She was moved as much for her own protection as anything else. The consultants only went to the police after Lucy won her grievance against them and they learnt she would be coming back to work on the ward. Sadly that never happened.

09.08.2025 17:42 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

The police charges were based on Dewi Evans' reports which are junk medicine. The police failed to recognise that he wasn't an appropriate expert.

09.08.2025 17:40 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Dewi Evans only did a case note review and a very superficial one at that as he failed to recognise all the problems that the expert panel picked up with a thorough review of the medical records. Lucy did not falsify any records. The prosecution lied to make the evidence fit their narrative.

09.08.2025 17:39 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

We don't know the nature of the supposed charges but we know that some of them were supposed to be related to her time at Liverpool.

09.08.2025 17:37 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

The police have been investigating since 2017. If they'd found any other evidence they would have used it at the trial. They will never find another Dewi Evans to fabricate murder charges. It's a lost cause. If they did bring charges, they would be humiliated in court.
