A reminder for you to check your medical supplies and first aid kit. Especially in these troubling times.
I recommend owning at least one prepacked "grab and go" first aid kit, plus an additional tub containing supplies for most common problems.
And CHECK THE EXPIRY DATES ON EVERYTHING.
Screenshot of my Hunter the Reckoning VTT, with the Hunter the Reckoning logo above the phrase 'The Hunt is On' with a muted look at the Chicago Streets below the El Train.
Also while I'm still going through all the Hunter the Reckoning (1999) books, here is a sneak peek at the VTT with the new pulsating Pause logo. (The Macro's on the hotbar will be invisible to my players) Very excited to see it coming together!

Ok, while originally I was CRUSHED by the Tabletop Simulator version of Daggerheart being wrecked due to the International firewall BS ruining all the various back-end systems, I can honestly say the Foundry VTT version has seriously stepped up!

It's not in this article but the government asserts that the sandwich was thrown at "point blank range", which implies subway sandwiches have defined effective weapon ranges of varying lethality, and I would like to see the government's chart of these ranges.

The recent White House Halo pic is one.
03.11.2025 21:45 β π 1063 π 323 π¬ 15 π 10Democrats can't pass legislation on their own. Republicans can.
Republicans paint Democrats as unreasonable. If that's the case, then it falls to Republicans to reopen the government, stop starving SNAP recipients, pay air traffic controllers, etc.
They choose not to. The public needs to see that.
Republicans could override the filibuster and reopen the government with only 51 votes.
Any other solution requires the House, and Johnson is refusing to bring it back into session.
Republicans completely control the shutdown. They don't want to reopen the government.
Regardless of whether or not Republicans want to, they could. They can make that choice.
The fact they can choose and Democrats can't means the shutdown is entirely their responsibility, and that's what the public needs beaten into their skulls right now.
I say this because I'd *really* like folks to appreciate the very real cost that comes when indie authors give their audience any other ways to buy their work besides Amazon. It's a near guaranteed loss vs. what they could be making, and if they did this it was either on principle or for your sake.
03.11.2025 20:35 β π 34 π 4 π¬ 2 π 0Something I hope more readers understand:
If an independent author has made their work available anywhere besides Amazon, they're likely losing money to do that.
You get a bigger cut if you go Amazon Exclusive, and the sales you can make elsewhere don't make up the difference for most of us.
