Several years ago I discovered that Lee Valley sold velcro tomato ties that worked just as well as cable ties (I’m a musician) but at a tiny fraction of the price. A few years back I couldn’t find them in the store, until an employee said “Oh you mean the cable ties?”

On the upside, it led to great hilarity on the friends’ WhatsApp group, and will feature heavily at the next sleepover.

I don’t know enough about harmony outside the western/jazz context, so can’t contribute anything useful, but I’d love to learn more about it from people who do. I also don’t know enough about what pushed the harmonic language of “classical” music in the early 20c and again would love to learn.
