Analysts show that capital expenditures on AI were so big over the last 6 months they added more to the GDP than *all consumer spending*. That growth is offsetting pain from the tariffs and slow job growth.
So the AI bubble may be propping up the whole US economy. What happens if and when it pops?
You shouldn't have to be a political insider to know what's going on in #RI. @movementservices.org is building tools that build power for all of us.
Before launching bigger 2026 features, we're strengthening our foundation, inc. this update that makes promoting your events effortless. ⇢ mvsv.io/add
Proud to support Climate Action #RI’s funeral for many climate bills left to die this session, inc Rep. Megan Cotter’s study commission on expanding public utilities.
This is about more than climate, it’s about taking on RI Energy’s monopoly to make life more affordable for all

Finished this (audiobook) today. Not much to say, bad news all around. Except I don’t remember hearing the words “Africa” or “South America” in the book. Lots of ways to interpret that, none of them complimentary of humanity.

I firmly believe WFP's strategy to unite unions, community orgs, and members remains our best shot at moving beyond the two-party system. I'm in that fight for the long haul, and I'm excited to see where RIWFP goes next. ✴️

That could be with WFP nationally, a new local role, etc. My options are open, but my commitment to WFP remains strong.

The effort hinges on a surprising new tactic: repurposing Social Security's "death master file," which for years has been used to track dead people who should no longer receive benefits, to include the names of living people who the government believes should be treated as if they are dead. As a result of being added to the death database, they would be blacklisted from a coveted form of identity that allows them to make and spend money.

His was the speech that I personally felt *simultaneously* a) most rose to meet the moral moment; and b) yes! most escaped the preset bounds of the action
Interesting that the bounds were set by national orgs w/exclusion of that topic…
A fair point! Just structure your case to have people argue this important argument on its actual merits, not on a generalization that favors your take.
Even someone getting up at the very beginning of a multi-hour action to make that speech, is far different than at the end. Details matter.
These times demand specificity, precision, clarity.
09.04.2025 16:41 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0also—"with his own message about issues that were not agreed upon and no one else would speak after him for fear of being seen as endorsing"—obscures that the speech was about Palestine. your generalization leaves it open that he went off about how there are too many oreo flavors these days.
09.04.2025 16:41 — 👍 5 🔁 0 💬 3 📌 0Action was not "completely blown up"—the speaking portion you refer to happened in the last, idk, 20 minutes of a multi-hour action following a 40 minute march involving probably ~8,000 people. The convenience of a "take" even if true, should take a backseat to the specificity of the circumstances
