I'm rereading Schlingensiepen's bio of Bonhoeffer. The similarities between the young Baldur Benedikt von Schirach with the Nazi Student Federation in the 1930s and Charlie Kirk's work with Turning Point USA today are striking and deserve much study.

True. But not clear to me that the dominant side understands the danger presented by the 20%.

"Only" 20% is a hell of a lot of American citizens; far more than enough to bring down democracy, as the enervation of our democratic institutions already is proving.
