Finally going to see this at the weekend, a full bloody year after the US!
11.02.2026 16:35 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Anyone else annoyed by the new spotify update adding lyrics above the playback controls, so the album artwork hops up and down between songs depending on whether the lyrics are available?
No? Just me?
Scan has a brick and mortar store, but it's in Bolton
29.01.2026 10:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0But to try and tell me that "new items in Japan are never shrink-wrapped" is beyond belief.
Every record I've ever bought from Japan has been shrink-wrapped. Dozens of them, from the big Sony releases to the independent labels.
The absolute gall.
Screenshot of message from Discogs seller: Hello, We're sorry to hear about this. Please understand that in Japan, where our HQ are located and where we source all our items, new items don't come out from pressing factory the same way as in Europe or the US. Items in Japan are considered sealed as long as they wear their original plastic resealable sleeve. New items in Japan are never shrink wrapped, neither vinyl records of CDs, expect maybe a very few box sets. However for the seam split, this must have happened during the transit. Can we offer a 25% refund on the item (Β£6.55)? Best regards, Felix | Dub Store DubStoreUK

"Items in Japan are considered sealed as long as they wear their original plastic resealable sleeve"
Maybe that's true, I don't know. This one was clearly cut at the top and didn't have a resealable flap, but whatever.
There are some really good ones near me, so I try to where I can, but Japanese City Pop is sadly a bit niche for the little independents!
24.01.2026 12:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yet another record delivered with a massive fuck-off tear down the spine. π«©
Why are we still shipping records inside the sleeves in this the year of our lord twenty twenty six
This is devastating news for my wallet.
(Thank you)
I saw him live once, he gave a little speech about working with Scatman John in the 90s and got the whole MEN arena to join in that one "I'm the Scatman" riff.
Dreadful as it is, I find it very hard to hate.
Literally double the price in the European store π₯²

25.12.2025 11:26 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I've been wanting to introduce my partner to the wiggle he songs for ages but we've only read years 1 & 2, and I don't remember when wiggle he 1 originally came out.
How much context would one need to properly appreciate them?
Also, Merry Christmas!
(hello I'm in a bracket!) made me cry laughing

24.09.2025 12:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The Essoldo in Stretford, Manchester. A small art deco cinema with pink and blue stripes climbing the curved front of the building.
I used to live near this one, which I think was a single screen (with stalls and a circle like a proper theatre!) and later converted to a bingo hall.
It's been closed down since I was a baby but I'd kill to see it reopen.
Just look at it! It would be so flippin' nice!
I think it's more specific than that so FF would be fine. Like it covers chucking a little guy out from a ball and having it run alongside you and follow orders, but FF has you choose a summon from a menu who toddles off and attacks on his own.
