It's hard to give a good drop off point because the plot gradually amps up through the game but there's 20 "chapters". things mostly start picking up after the guild exploration I'd say.

@ all first time sky players:
-if you HATE the gameplay loop you can walk out it's ok
-if you don't care much for the gameplay loop but don't hate it you can still give it a chance
-if you do really like the game there's a ton of side content you can opt to play afterwards but don't worry about it

It's also a struggle watching people stream it bc the game has a huge post game and tom of side content that are really cool but absolutely not mandatory to a standard playthrough. So chat asks about it constantly and it's like nooo nooo streamers don't listen to them you don't need to play all that

the thing about watching people play explorers of sky for the first time is that, despite it being maybe my favourite game ever, I do understand that the gameplay loop's not for everyone so it's actually pretty hit or miss. But if it hits it hits so I still do wanna sell it as amazing yknow
